Purpose of course:
To develop knowledge of the methods and functions of traffic management and control in rail, road and air transport. Acquiring the ability to analyse and construct complex traffic management and control systems.
Contents of education:
Road traffic control. Assumptions and scope of "ITS". The role of transport policy in traffic management. Methods and means of regulation and management of road traffic. Characteristics of the traffic control system. Classification of traffic control strategies. Basic features of traffic lights. Control on strings and intersection networks - methods and measures. Advantages and disadvantages of traffic lights. Control efficiency indicators. Modern devices and measuring systems for road traffic. Central control and traffic management systems. Public transport management in agglomerations. Railway traffic control. Traffic control system, functions, human (operator) relation - machine. Control and traffic control - hierarchical systems. Requirements for modern srk devices. Internal devices, operator stations and dependency systems - requirements, functions, methods of implementation. External devices - requirements, functions, methods of implementation. Requirements and methods for assessing traffic safety and efficiency. Air traffic control. The formal and legal foundations and components of air traffic management: airspace management, air traffic services, air traffic flow management, bodies and committees. Implemented concepts: Single European Sky and EATMN, PRNAV and FAB, AMAN / DMAN, A-CDM and A-SMGCS. Air traffic safety management (standards: ESARR, ICAO), search and rescue. The content of the exercises: Presentation of analysis and design and conceptual studies in the field of management (management) and traffic control in transport.
